Privacy Policy

1. Overview

KAScard is operated by KASTrack (United States). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash)
• Business card content: any information you voluntarily add to your digital card (name, title, phone, links, etc.)
• Device-generated identifiers: user ID assigned at account creation
• Device information: OS version, device model, app version
• Crash data: stack traces, app state at time of crash

We do not collect location data. Device hardware identifiers may be collected by Sentry solely for crash diagnostic purposes.

3. Camera Access

Camera permission is requested to scan physical business cards. When you scan a physical card, the captured image is saved to your account for personal reference. Images are transmitted to and stored on our secure servers. We do not use camera data for any other purpose.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Display your digital business card to people you share it with
• Authenticate your identity when you log in
• Process account deletion requests
• Diagnose and fix application crashes and errors

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by our infrastructure provider. Authentication tokens are stored encrypted on your device using platform-provided secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access.

Crash reports are processed by Sentry (sentry.io), a third-party error monitoring service. Sentry may collect device identifiers and crash context. See Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion request, data is retained for 30 days to allow recovery, then permanently deleted along with all associated records.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

8. Children's Privacy

KAScard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of KAScard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
